"I've been coming for a little over a year and I believe I've found my spiritual home here (I even became a member)! I've been an agnostic atheist for a long time, and I still consider myself one, though I also felt something was missing from my life that only some form of spirituality could answer but no other religion really clicked with me. I very much appreciate this tradition's emphasis on controlling the mind through meditation and letting go of our attachments. I find the Buddhist teachings very comforting and insightful, the idea of patiently accepting everything that comes your way for what it is instead of feeling like you have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders really feels like I'm letting go of a great burden I've been holding on to without realizing it. I also like how you're not expected to just take things on "faith" here and believe what you're being told blindly, Buddhism feels very rational in that it encourages you to test things out for yourself to see the benefits. It seems like a scientific approach to spiritual practice which I appreciate and find very empowering. Everyone at this center has been so welcoming and gracious, it doesn't matter if you weren't born into Buddhism or you don't come from a Buddhist background in general, all are welcome here!"

"I visited the Center for the first time to participate in a special meditation retreat during the end-of-December, 2024. I experienced welcoming communications before the retreat. The feeling of being welcomed continued upon arrival. I felt the meditation space as tranquil and lovely. It is easy to find, and has lots of parking nearby. The retreat was beneficial for me in several personal ways. I am very grateful for the things I learned during the teaching at the retreat and for the availability of a space and time to practice meditation with others. I will definitely return to participate in a Sunday service as soon as possible."
